Reverdy Protected VitaC is a nutritional supplement for horses.

Protected vitamin C (esterified, non-acidic).
Ensures optimal vitamin C intake.

Why use Reverdy Protected VitaC?
Reverdy PROTECTED VITAC is recommended in the following situations:

• Febrile state (fever).
• Respiratory disorders: infectious diseases (for exemple: strangles, equine influenza, rhinopneumonitis), equine asthma, epistaxis (pulmonary bleeding), etc.
• Skin wounds.
• Stressful situations for the body:
  - Competition periods: intense training, multi-day events,
  - Long-distance transport,
  - Environmental change,
  - Breaking / pre-training,
  - Foaling.
• For older horses in cases of:
  - Equine Cushing's syndrome/PPID, thyroid dysfunction,
  - Chronic infection,
  - Preparation for annual vaccinations.
  

Dextrose

1 measuring cup (50 ml ≈ 40 g) of PROTECTED VITAC provides:

10 g of Protected vitamin C.

Advantages of Protected Vitamin C Compared to Standard Ascorbic Acid Protected Vitamin C is in the form of Phosphorylated L- ascorbic acid. Unlike ascorbic acid, this esterified form is non-acidic. It is therefore more palatable and better tolerated by the digestive system, reducing the risk of gastric irritation and digestive issues, particularly in sensitive horses. It also offers greater stability and is more efficiently absorbed by the body than ascorbic acid, thereby increasing the bioavailability and overall effectiveness of supplementation..

Adult horses (500 kg) recommended daily dose:

1 measuring cup = 40 g

Maintenance dose: ½ to 2 measuring cups or 4g to 16g /100kg body weight; 10 days to 1 month

For ponies and young animals, distribute a daily dose corresponding to the body weight of the animal.

Mix well into the ration.

Gradual discontinuation: reduce the dose progressively over at least one week.
