Recommendations for Use

Horslyx Original Balancer is designed to help correct nutrient deficiencies in grass and forage when fed at the recommended levels. It offers a cost-effective, low-starch solution to support your horse’s health and well-being.

Suitable for all horses, from those at rest needing a low-calorie diet to high-performance horses requiring extra nutritional support, Original Balancer offers versatile feeding for every equine.

When combined with the right amount of high-quality forage, Original Balancer eliminates the need for large quantities of hard feed—saving you both time and money.

Its weatherproof formula makes it ideal for use in the stable or out in the field. Many horses and ponies thrive on a simple diet of Horslyx and forage, without needing additional balancers.

The act of licking not only encourages a slower feeding rate, which helps alleviate boredom and stress—especially for stabled horses—but also stimulates saliva production, which aids digestion.

Original Balancer is also a great option for older horses with dental issues who may struggle with hard feed, making it a practical and supportive choice for all life stages.

  • Monitor Intake: Use the 5kg holder with the restrictor bar to track consumption.
  • Increase Gradually: Extend feeding time to 30–60 minutes after the first week.
  • Monitor Intake: Observe your horse’s consumption and adjust as needed. A general guideline is 250g of Horslyx per day for a 500kg horse.
  • Ad Lib Feeding: Once your horse is used to Horslyx, you can leave it available for free access.

Horse Safety First!

We prioritise your horse’s well-being. While the plastic packaging of our balancers is durable, some curious horses might enjoy kicking or pawing at it.

  • Never leave unattended horses with the plastic tub: If your horse or pony shows any signs of kicking or pawing at the container, do not leave them alone with the product.

Stable and Secure Feeding

  • 5kg Holder: Keeps Horslyx clean and away from stable debris, prevents it being kicked or trodden on. Includes a detachable restrictor grill to prevent overconsumption.

Mini Horslyx Placement

Not recommended for unsupervised use. Always ensure you are present, and the product should be held by you at all times.

Alternative Solutions

If not using our holders, ensure safe containment to prevent plastic ingestion or injury.
